Live longer and happier – 10 things you can do

Live longer and Happier. There are many things you can do to live longer but not always healthier or happier. Living longer should not be our primary goal but instead we should try to achieve, sustain and aspire to a better life, where we cultivate better habits and lifestyles which bring us longevity and not just excitement, pleasure or entertainment.

Health should be in mind and body, and our habits will reflect the state of mind we are in and the kind of company we keep. So what are 10 fundamental changes or habits we should keep, to live a longer happier life?

1. Think of others before yourself. Give thought to how your actions will affect others.

2. Make sure you are always breathing deeply and long.

3. Watch your speech. Do not gossip or talk ill of others or yourself.

4. Watch and control what kind of thoughts you are having. Positive, ambitious, self loathing, angry, selfish, inclusive etc.

5. Control your actions and make sure most of them are positive, selfless, inclusive and aware.

6. Be free of religious, political, sexual, race, nationalistic, patriotic, biases leading to limited separatist thoughts or actions.

7. Cultivate habits which bring about health in mind and body. Sleep early, eat early, don’t over talk, fast time to time and sit in silence for some time each day.

8. Be aware of what you put importance or effort into as this will bring you much pain or joy in the near and far future. Our karmic energy and destiny will be affected by this.

9. Control your senses by avoiding any excess, so they don’t end up controlling you. This will help control your nervous system and your entire health.

10. Cultivate a healthy practice of yoga, meditation, reading and other spiritual endeavors to bring about a higher consciousness towards all living beings. This will help each person to know their purpose in this life time.

Before doing anything you will need to know what your intentions are and why you are motivated to do something. Knowing this together with the actions you decide to take will either bring you a long life or not. Life is a choice.

Cameron is living to give and share of what he learns which is generousity to all…

Cameron reminds me of what the last Buddha, Prince Siddhartha said ” Do what i did.” who did not just went into Nirvana but spent all his life teaching gods, angels and human who can be taught.

Even who want to harm him in any ways, still Buddha share compassion to all.

Would you mind writing articles about A Manual of Peace: 38 Steps towards Enlightened Living? In your own fasinating way and topic? :p

Especially on ” Not Associating with the Fools but Associating with the Wise. ” How to recoginize the fool and WISE and how to stay away, why do we need to do that? How can we AVOIDING THE INFLUENCE OF FOOLS? and why do u think it is primary neccessary to all?

With love, best wishes and compassion from the bright light clear pure crystal diamond Buddha at the center of my being (2″ inches above my belly) :P

Yogi Cameron i kiss your hands and feet.I’m not a foot fetish. But you know in what way.I feel excited reading your practical down to earth guidance and i am encouraged. There is just this one point you talk of excitement and you say : ( i think it’s best i copy and paste yur lines here for exactness).

    quoting you :
” where we cultivate better habits and lifestyles which bring us longevity and not just excitement, pleasure or entertainment. ”

I find excitement essential to my being.I also love to have pleasure.Entertainement depends on the purpose and quality of the entertainement.I find that life is dull and void without excitement and pleasure. We become lustless and empty. And no human being attracts happiness or further learning when they are lustless and empty.Infact then we become frustrated and bitter and all those negative emotions start welling up in one.Why are we living beings? We are meant to live life and not let life surpass us where we are only onlookers or viewers of life. That is being passive.Passive energy. We need to be active and alert. So we live life actively.Excitement is a basic necessity of life. There are rituals like calling one’s soul back home to oneself. After doing so it fills one with such contentment and happiness. And i feel a natural sense of excitement well up in me again.Yogi Cameron I kiss your hands and feet.
