Having an early dinner with friends (well normal for me at 6pm) I listened to the ladies explain that they were all a little over weight- like 5 to 10lbs. I was looking at them and thinking how healthy and fit they looked but they were having none of it. Is it the way they are seeing themselves because society deems people fat if they are not size 0? We penalize models and call them too skinny but then everyone is trying to fit into a size smaller than they are and when they can’t, they declare themselves FAT. Why not just fit into the size you are? I think that fashion is relevant in other aspects of life, but when it comes to health we all need to put our attention on more timeless issues like happiness and our purpose in life. Never compromise health over style. You are already unique and self styled- just live it.

These expectations are also culturally related. The idea and ideal of a sexy woman differs from country to country. Cameron has a healthy attitude here and the US fashion industry in particular often seems scared of projecting grown women as sexual beings.
