Where is your attention?

This is a link to a long article about how our attention and concentration have brought us little but more distractions and disturbances in our mind. The good news is through meditation we will be able to go beyond the mind and see what is real. The even better news is that we have many life times to do it in so lets not get anxious about what we have not done or have and move to start our spiritual practice. One who has a daily spiritual practice is one who goes beyond the mind and experiences life beyond material things or limitations.

Here is a sample of what the article says.

The only time multitasking does work efficiently, Meyer says, is when multiple simple tasks operate on entirely separate channels—for example, folding laundry (a visual-manual task) while listening to a stock report (a verbal task). But real-world scenarios that fit those specifications are very rare.

This is troubling news, obviously, for a culture of BlackBerrys and news crawls and Firefox tabs—tools that, critics argue, force us all into a kind of elective ADHD. The tech theorist Linda Stone famously coined the phrase “continuous partial attention” to describe our newly frazzled state of mind. American office workers don’t stick with any single task for more than a few minutes at a time; if left uninterrupted, they will most likely interrupt themselves.

Since every interruption costs around 25 minutes of productivity, we spend nearly a third of our day recovering from them. We keep an average of eight windows open on our computer screens at one time and skip between them every twenty seconds. When we read online, we hardly even read at all—our eyes run down the page in an F pattern, scanning for keywords.

When you add up all the leaks from these constant little switches, soon you’re hemorrhaging a dangerous amount of mental power. People who frequently check their e-mail have tested as less intelligent than people who are actually high on marijuana. Meyer guesses that the damage will take decades to understand, let alone fix. If Einstein were alive today, he says, he’d probably be forced to multitask so relentlessly in the Swiss patent office that he’d never get a chance to work out the theory of relativity.

The most promising solution to our attention problem, in Gallagher’s mind, is also the most ancient: meditation. Neuroscientists have become obsessed, in recent years, with Buddhists, whose attentional discipline can apparently confer all kinds of benefits even on non-Buddhists. (Some psychologists predict that, in the same way we go out for a jog now, in the future we’ll all do daily 20-to-30-minute “secular attentional workouts.”) Meditation can make your attention less “sticky,” able to notice images flashing by in such quick succession that regular brains would miss them. It has also been shown to elevate your mood, which can then recursively stoke your attention: Research shows that positive emotions cause your visual field to expand.

The brains of Buddhist monks asked to meditate on “unconditional loving-kindness and compassion” show instant and remarkable changes: Their left prefrontal cortices (responsible for positive emotions) go into overdrive, they produce gamma waves 30 times more powerful than novice meditators, and their wave activity is coordinated in a way often seen in patients under anesthesia.

I asked God for a PENCIL SHARPENER.
    He gave me a MEDITATION.
I asked God why did He give me a meditation whereby I had asked Him for pencil sharpener?I was confused….
God replied : ”My Dearest Darling Loving and Adorable Child, because MEDITATION sharpens the brain & mind.I am giving you a true gift you can always use - it is immortal.A pencil sharpener is an object in the material world which is perishable. The pencil sharpener I give you will have diamonds & pearls on it but it will break and all the diamonds and pearls will fall down and roll away into nothingness. And you will be heart-broken.I want you to be happy and blissful.I want you to be one with me.So I make you an immortal gift you can cherish and honour through using it to feel my love for you.And your brains and mind shall sparkle and shine in LIGHT,LOVE & JOY.

    O(h Wow!!!

I’m rejoiced in your falling dewdrop from shining stars, refreshing and cool :p

Focused sweetie, meditation put me on the top of the mountain. I’m alone with my eyes closed , i breath in the clear air crystal ball from my nose to my eyes, into my no organ head, down to my throat to the center. :p

i love the sciencetific article and poetry, i propose my apology for my wrong spelling my sweet celestial musicians from the lake. :p

To the uttermost of Dhamma :p
Thank you Cameron for your waves of loving and kindness to me. :p

it is like you know my multitask, but i keep focused on meditation the most and the insight treasure leads me the way to you :p

When the master decided to ordain :p

    “He lit three sticks of incense, and pressed them between two palms and made the following resolution with heartfelt determination;

Don’t let me die now, At least let me die in saffron robes. If only I can ordain, I will remain my monkhood until my days are done.!!

That day he could escape the danger and return home safely, but the vow he made never to leave his mind. He planned to ordain but he could not leave his responsibility and let anyone behind. He needed to leave them enough savings, especially his mother, in order to support their living for the rest of their life after his absence. He set the work with a fervour in order to accumulate without delay. Later in May 1903, he loaded the rice sacks in the barges and travel to Bangkok for the last time on his behalf. He gave the most trust to the crewmen and rewarded them as much as he could.

He returned home as freeman and entered Sonpinong temple as a postulant or “Nag” He studied the scriptures and prepared himself for ordination with Venerable Prapalad Yang at that temple. In July 1903, Sodh ordained in Songpinong Temple and was given a monastic name “Candasaro Bhikkhu”. The name Candasaro is the traditional Pali language means “the one whose radiance bright like the Moon”. He had an ordination with Venerable Dee from Pratusarn Temple as a preceptor (Upatjaya), Venerable Prakru Viniyanuyok (Niang Indajoto) and Venerable Nong were his co-preceptors (Anusavanajaya and Kammavajaya).

    Newly ordained, Candasaro began his study the next day after his ordination. He began to study the Pali scriptures and practised meditation. Venerable Nong was his first teacher. During the first vassa, rain retreat, eventually, he found a Pali word which he could not translate, Avijjapaccaya. He asked a fellow monk to translate but he received the answer;

“Brother, we do not translate it here in Songpinong, we just recite it. If you want to translate, you have to go to study in Bangkok…. ”

Our attention in this lifetime. :p

“people who are our lineage will be in everywhere and they are waiting for us to bring them a message of peace. I hope, in the future vijja dhammakaya will be spread around the world, finally that the peace will be seen in our life time.
One more thing that I would like to mention, it was about the time before my ordination. I and other friends who practiced meditation with Master nun, Khun yay Chandra, at Paknam Temple would yearly celebrate her a birthday by doing some more good deeds. According to her birth date was on a lunar calendar, it is not the same day in each year, but someday was held on Sunday, so we could came to meet her.
One such year, her birthday was not held a celebration on Sunday, I went to somewhere before and came to the temple at almost 6 o’clock in the evening. Luang Phaw Dhammajayo, yet ordained on that time, asked me why did not I come early. This day was very special; it was the special day of our master. Not only Khun Yay’s day but also the other master’s holy day too, we should not miss it. We had to pay our gratitude and gratefulness, moreover, this day was the day of holy since countless numbers of Lord Buddhas who completed nirvana in the past would send an insight successful diagram of enlightenment to the center of our inner bodies. It would last insight us to our next lives. So, we would be in the path of success as same as our masters.

Later, I noticed that whom that pursued enough perfection, their holy days would be on the full moon day. For example, the Lord Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and nirvana dates were on the full moon day. The day that he performed the first discourse was also on the full moon day of the eighth month, Asanlahapuja day. The day of the first sangha assembly, Makhapuja Day, was also on the full moon day of the third month. Moreover, for the sanghas, the Lord Buddha chose the full and waning phase of the moon day to be the day to purify their precepts, patimokkha. Because, in the past, they would appoint the seasons by the moon’s orbit. Moreover, when the moon turns full, it will stimulate our mind to think about the shining dhamma sphere within our mind. So it can make us reawakened from the inner and outer darkness.

The Most Venerable Phramongkolthepmuni (Luang Pu Wat Pak Nam Bhasicharoen, Sodh Candasaro) had pursued the perfection for countless numbers of incarnations until the full moon day of the tenth month, he could attain Dhammakaya himself. This supernatural phenomenon would not happen with Luang Pu only but also might happen with us someday too. Therefore, this day is also our special holy day too. Since, it is in the middle of vassa, rain retreat; the whether is moderately comfortable, it is the time for us to attain the path of purification.
Even though, we were born out of his life time but we have met his teaching. It means that, we are his lineage of the Vijja Dhammakaya. We used to accumulate perfection with him; otherwise, we shall not meet his teaching. Thus, from now on, we should perform our utmost effort in meditation in order to attain Dhammakaya. And also, if we can invite our friends and relatives to come and meditate; it means we can show them a door way to heaven and nirvana. It is also the way to express our gratitude to them which is better than giving them a whole bunch of money.” ( or pencil shapener :p )

After becoming a monk, he went alms round, got no food and not enough food till..

“Then, he threw a half of rice and banana from his alms bowl to the dog and made the solemn wish.

“Through this power of generosity in the face of such adversity, may starvation never again across my path- ever. Through the purity of my precepts and these truthful words may I never again return from almsround with an empty bowl”” :P

    From that day forth, however, through his purity of Precepts and Forthrightness- he was never return with the empty bowl from his almsaround anymore. He always had more than enough food to share with his fellow brethren. With this experience in facing the difficulties, it reflected Candasaro that Bhikkhus should not have worries in lacking of foods. This let him to vow;

“One day, if I receive sufficient support from benefactors, I will build a kitchen so that the monastic community can put all their energies into the Dhamma and Scriptures study. They can meditate without worrying about the next day meal will come from. ”

It would take a decade for Candasaro’s dream to be true.

An academic of scriptures in that time of Siam did not have an institute like what we have in the present. Monks had to search for teachers by themselves; it was no difference to Candasaro. He had to study one lesson in Chetupon Temple and crossed the Chaopraya River to another lesson in Arun Rajavararam Temple (known as Temple of Dawn). His consistency and perseverance stirred many of the regular passengers to faith. Many invited him to receive their alms regularly. Others offered him to pay a living expense. The most faithful of his supporters was a female peddler named “Nuam” who took to serve him with breakfast and lunch daily. For years later after Candasaro became the great abbot of Paknam temple, Nuam went bankrupt. He recalled about her goodness and support, he took Nuam to stay in the temple until her last day. This is one of his outstanding moralities that he always showed his gratefulness. :P

For years Candasaro traveled to various schools to study scriptures. More and more people inspired by his diligence. One day, he was invited to establish a private institute of Pali School in Chetupon Temple; this was a revolution of Pali study in Thailand. He invited Venerable Mahapi Vasuttamo, a talent monk of Pali Grade V, as a permanent lecturer. Candasaro catered for as many as ten students and teachers in his institute at his own expense, and taught Pali up to Grade V. As he could set up the establishment, he left the institute to be the temple’s belonging and travelled on his own.

Even though, he devoted himself in studying Pali, he always made himself a time to meditate as well. In those days, he used technique learnt from his co-preceptor, Venerable Nong. On the first week of the month, he was free from studying, he always travelled to several temples for finding new teachers. His masters are foremost Buddhist meditation masters in that time; for example, Venerable Prasanghavaranuwongsee (Eam) Rajasiddharam Temple, Bangkok, Venerable Singh Lakorndham Temple, Thonburi, Venerable Pramonkoltipmuni (Muy) the abbot of Chakrawat, Bangkok, etc. All of them are famous among meditation students in Thailand that time but Candasaro could complete all of their results in meditation with the same level of all teachers within a short period. All of his masters received the same question from Candasaro, “Venerable sir, Is there any thing more that I can learn from you?”

All of them would answer, “I cannot teach anything further to you. You have known all of my teachings and now are my equal. Come and teach alongside me!”

But He thought, “My knowledge is too superficial to qualify me as a meditation master” and humbly refused to teach. He left all meditation masters and travelled alone, finally he decided to go back to Songpinong temple for being closed to his mother and to pay attention for teaching Pali Scriptures to younger monks as well. Again, he established Pali institute in Sonpinong Temple in his eleventh year of monkhood- the institute is still exists today under the foundation he set up.”

    To do what? :p

“you need to pay attention in donation and donate as much as you can. Pay full attention in your career with all capability you have, and it doesn’t matter if you have a surplus of money or not, you need to keep some for donation. Why? To get rid of the stinginess and the narrow mind you have, it will make our mind as broad as an ocean. Due to the concentration in donation, we will be broad-minded and this broad mind will come with us in the future lives too because we are used to unlimited giving. When we reincarnate with a mind broader than an ocean, the treasure of the whole land is ready to come to our ocean mind.

You need to organize your time real well, Often go to temples. You have seen many things in the world and have a lot of material technological knowledge. You don’t need to increase this kind of knowledge anymore. Instead of that, you need to increase mental technology from Buddhism; i.e. listening to sermons and meditation. They are the ways to increase wisdom and purify our bodies and minds. If our minds are crystal clear since this life, in our next lives we will be born with these crystal-clear minds and nothing can blind us; therefore, while progressing, we will see the way to gain wealth from whatever we see, no matter if it’s a thing or a situation.

Therefore, to be over-life rich requires these 4 things.

    1. Learn well about the law of Kamma.

    2. Paying full attention in keeping precepts.

    3. Concentrating in donation

    4. Meditating until our minds are crystal-clear.

Being rich with this internal wealth since this life, in our future lives we will definitely be rich with both internal and external wealth. This is the way to gain over-life richness.”

    You are my attention :p

Honey, thank you i cried of great joy, thank you xooxox

Please do not be afraid, just wish that please do not let me see any spirits, i wave my loving kindness and my merit to all. :p

    Someone’s case study :p

“3. The lady at your elder sister’s house pillar, that you saw when you were half asleep, was an earth sprite who was one of the celestial musician’s line so we call her a “wood sprite” and she dwells in the tree. Although the tree had been cut, she still followed the wood but she wasn’t a high level tree sprite like the ones that have a mansion on the tree.

She didn’t want anything other than to show you that she was there on her area at the pillar. You can often dedicate merits to her and when she gets enough merits to be reborn then she will go.

    4. You had seen the Sacred Jaah Keaw Crystal Disc spinning in the Buddha Shrine room. That’s a true sight that happened due to your merit mind to encourage you to spread the Dow Dhamma Satellite dish.

    5. Your life had met with burning houses 2 times because in your past life, you were a tradeswoman and sold many things before you had met our community. You had engaged a person to burn a rival’s shop. With this retribution it caused you to meet with the burning house.

You must often dedicate the merits to the kamma couple and the enmity couple. This retribution will finish and don’t be concerned with the dream.

    6. You had to take care of your younger sister as a daughter because she was your daughter in your past life. In that life you loved her so much and you indulge her in this life. In her thinking she has an elder sister who can give her everything so easily and there is no need for her to earn money by herself.

You must try to teach her to know about the value of money by assigning her work before giving her money. Don’t make it easy to give to her as you did before. It is the same as the Chinese proverb “Don’t give only fish for eating but teach them to catch the fish also.”

    7. Your restaurant sells live animals for food to go with drinks so pull out the alcoholic customers and gamblers if you want good companions. You must consider doing that in your restaurant and taking action wisely.

    8. Now you still sell live animals, and that will make you get retribution in the form of you having many sicknesses and having difficulty curing them, and then you will die before your time in the next life.

    9. Your husband and your children are good people and you used to be husband and wife and performed merits together in many lives so in this life they never obstruct you to from performing merits.

    10. Your husband, your children and you used to pursue perfections with our community. Sometimes you accrued them extremely and sometimes you did less than was a supporter’s duty.

So in this life, you must intend to do every merit fully and make a resolution follow the community to Tusita Heaven (the fourth level of Heaven) in the Special Merits Zone (Vong Boon Pisit, Boroma Bodhisatta Region) with all of your family.
    The end.” :p

    “Meditative, dwelling alone,
    Free from passion taint,
Having done what should be done,
    Devoid of all corruptions,
And having reached the Highest Goal-
Him do I call a brahmana

    By day the sun shines.
By night the moon is bright.
    Armoured shines the warrior.
    In meditation the brahmana glows.
But all day and all night,
    The Buddha shines in splendour.

Without evil he is called a brahmana.
He who lives in peace is called a samana.
    With all impurities gone,
    A pabbajita is he called.

One should not strike a brahmana,
Nor such a brahmana vent his wrath on him.
Woe to him who strikes a brahamana.
More woe to him who gives way to his wrath.

He who is free from anger,
He who is dutiful and righteous,
    He who is without craving, and controlled;
And he who bears his final body-
Him do I call a brahmana.

    Like water on a lotusleaf,
Like a mustard seed on a needle’s point,
He who clings not to sensual pleasures-
Him do I call a brahmana.

    In whom lust, hatred, pride
    And detraction are fallen off,
As a mustard seed from the needle’s point-
Him do I call a brahmana.

    He who has passed beyond
    This quagmire, this difficult path,
The ocean (of life) and delusion,
Who has crossed and gone beyond,
Who is meditative, desireless and doubtless,
Who, clinging to nought, has attained Nibbana-
Him do I call a brahmana.

    He who perfectly understands
The rise and fall of all beings,
Who is detached, well-hone and enlightened-
Him do I call a brahmana.”

Where are we going? I love your focus, your focus create mine as you are my true hero, true friends who lead me to true refuge, the triple gem. :p cuddles :p

”The even better news is that we have many life times to do it in so lets not get anxious about what we have not done or have and move to start our spiritual practice.” : YogiCameron

Cameron often it feels awful when one does not manage to do a couple of things which are in one’s daily spiritual practice.Even this is a balance of energies.Sometimes one has to use one’s common sense not to feel under pressure through one’s own mind.So I realize it’s the best attitude to have a regular time for certain practices everyday - some practices should be natural to oneself as one’s breathing - and those practices one should do daily at the same time everyday! That is being a GROUNDED PERSON.Because this is the way of building inner safety and security and independancy and inner-strength - which comes from a stable mind and an open-heart - based on the wisdom that one can rely on oneself - this is also balancing energies as all other energies coming from outside and interacting with one have a strong balance which is when we are balanced and don’t get knocked off by outer things - which are energies. So building a strong mental stability from within oneself through a regular spiritual practice is the key to inner-stability and peace and balance.

Darling Cameron I just got out of bed and had to log in here right away.I’m focusing myself now.No matter when I wake up I shall train myself to a solid grounding practice!!I adore you.You must have been whispering all this inner wisdom to me all night Cameron.Thank you my darling love.I adore you Cameron my angel.Hugs my sweet heart.

    Hi there, focused :p
    Someone’s case study :p

” A miracle of crystal sun happened subsequently by influences from merits and power of Luang Pu Wat Paknam on the Master Dhammakaya day when Nirvana of honourable Luang Pu Wat Paknam fully released multiple merit perfections as well as everyone’s mind there was joyful from merits and focused on honourable Luang Pu; hence, the meritorious mind was open so you were able to see the miracle of crystal sun. This event was an auspicious omen that Dhammakaya knowledge would be lighten there soon.

    2) Your father saw an underwater hand chasing his leg and older people told him that it was mermaid calling him to be her husband. In fact, it was not mermaid but a kind of non-human (water sprite). She did not chase your father to be her husband but to replace her to look after watercourse. Luckily, your father does not have retribution so he survived.
The diamond axe that your father saw was a delusive reflection from water surface. Do not take it seriously.

The fire ball that villagers saw was natural phenomenon not angel, ghost or spirit. Do not think about it.

    3) Before your father passed away, you told him to recollect his merits that he cast Buddha statue for a temple in Nan province. This helped him to recollect his merits and his after life omen became bright. Stream of merits he had accrued with Khun Yay Tongsuk; i.e. offering sustenance to the Lord Buddha, connected to centre of his body so he left the world like sleeping and waking up in the middle of golden heavenly mansion in special merit zone, provider section in the fourth level of heaven (Tusita).

    4) Your mother is forgetful. She remembers not much; although, she has accrued merits all of her life. It is not a present retribution but her past retribution. In one of her past lives, she was female trader, she liked to do small lie but often when she sold her goods. As a result of her past deeds, she is forgetful.

At the last minute of her life, she will be able to recollect merits as a foundation of her mind is well clear. You should help her in correct principle by often talking to her about merits, and installation of Dhamma Satellite is a correct way.

    5) The reason that your mother-in-law’s neck droop and died suddenly is because her life span was over.
Both your father-in-law and mother-in-law become earth-sprite in an earth-sprite village after passing away.

    6) Your older brother; who is a son of your father’s second wife and served military as cavalryman as well as ordained for a year, passed away when he was in a wash room because of his past bad deeds from slaughtering animals for snacks eating with liquor.
When he died, his after life omen was not clear, he was wandering around for 7 days before denizen brought him to purgatory. When he was in front of the god of death’s sentence court, he was able to recollect his merits so he was sent to humanly world. Not long after that, he was born as a human again.

    7) In the past, when you accrued merits, you always offered first; although, you did not have much and made a wish to have a chance to be a pioneer in pursuing perfection. As a result of that, you have a chance to join merit since the beginning; i.e. building Ban Dhamma Prasith, Dhammakaya temple and, after moving to the US, the temple in Florida, as you wished. The fruit of this good deed is you will be born as a leader, in a leader family (either community leader or municipal leader).

If all merits together fully surface, you will be born in a family of country leader or world leader. Also, treasures will be waiting for you as well as you will attain Dhammakaya easily. These fruits are described briefly.

    8) When you ordained, you had an opportunity to stay in the same monk’s dwelling as the good looking venerable because in the last Buddha aeon, you were a royal page soldier of the king who ordained, and followed him to ordain at the beginning but later you disrobed because you missed your girlfriend. However, prior to disrobe, you made a wish to be close to the king in next life again and that is the reason that you had an opportunity to stay in the same monk’s dwelling.

    9) The retribution you got when you were 7-8 years old that you lit matches and burnt red ants for fun was only a supplementary kamma to cause your hand being burnt when you were 12 years old. The main retribution that caused this incident was, in the past, you would like to have fun so you tortured bad behaving slaves by tying slaves with a flambeau until the flame reached the slave’s hand to torture him before releasing him later.

    10) When your daughter was 19 years old, she was ill from strange disease; i.e. severely allergic to sun shine. This is because, in the past life, when your daughter was born as a young girl of good behaviour, in her childhood, she liked to throw live fish; that was confined in earth jar, on floor in sun shine and enjoyed to look when it was writhing and use wood stick to scratch them amusingly.

Later, she had kidney disease, had to do dialysis and replaced with new kidney because of retribution from the life that she was a young girl of good behaviour. When she grew up, she liked to loan money to others with extremely high interest rate. If the borrowers did not have money to repay, she would take over their plots, treasures. However, she survives because of merits she has accrued with Dhammakaya community both in the past and present.

You dreamt about a black man in black clothes handing a red rose to you and your daughter recovered after that. It did not relate to your daughter’s illness. The dream was from unusual body element and worried mind. Do not take it seriously.

Your daughter’s second kidney illness was recovered from merits she has accrued with Dhammakaya community.

She had 2 operations because of killing kamma. She slaughtered animals for food and it caused her to have two quick surgeries.

    11) You, your wife and your daughter have retributions together. In the past life that your daughter was a young girl of good behaviour who loaned money with extremely high interest rate, you and your wife were her parents who supported her to do that; especially your wife.

She provided special support and gave her money to your daughter to loan out as well. That is the reason that your wife had to donate her kidney as it was her past retribution. However, if she rethinks in wholesomeness way, it can be her new merit.

If they would like to lessen the retributions, they have to accrue all merits; i.e. generosity offering (dhana), precept observance (sila) and meditation (bhavana) as well as dedicate merits to all lives they used to assault.

Your family has stream merits with Dhammakaya community almost in every life but in some past lives, you were careless too. Therefore, you have to make a wish carefully to have stream merits with great masters, Dhammakaya community and return to the fourth level of heaven (Tusita).

Since we have met each other in this life, therefore you must try to pursue perfection in all merits with fullest efforts and make a wish to follow the Dhammakaya community to the fourth level of heaven (Tusita), in the special merit zone – bodhisattva as well as do not be apart from each other again.”

Now is the best time for me, for all :p

Cameron how I love you darling.I adore you.I’m tired now & will sleep soon.I did not get enough sleep the previous night and struggled and literally pushed negative energies away from me & boy that’s tough work because it is similar to pushing heavy, heavy weights around single handed from the effort point of view. It’s the effort and the struggle which is tough work.I have been successful and I’m happy with myself today!I will sleep well tonight and come on tomorrow.I love you baby. Are you thinking of me?Goodnight my sweet heart Cameron.

hi my darling love, i have you as my desktop background. :p

Noble road is for me but i m relatated to you, my family still. :p

Meditating objects : ice cube, ice cream, crystal ball, Buddha, waffles :p

“And you’ll finally see the truth,
That a hero lies in you.

    It’s a long road,
When you face the world alone,
No one reaches out a hand
    For you to hold.

    You can find love,
    If you search within yourself,
    And the emptiness you felt
    Will disappear.

And then a hero comes along.
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside.
And you know you can survive.
So when you feel like hope is gone.
Look inside you and be strong.
And you’ll finally see the truth,
That a hero lies in you,

    Lord knows,
    Dreams are hard to follow.
    But don’t let anyone,
    Tear them away.

    Hold on,
    There will be tomorrow.
    In time,
    You’ll find the way.

And then a hero comes along.
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside.
And you know you can survive.
So when you feel like hope is gone,
Look inside you and be strong.
And you’ll finally see the truth,
That a hero lies in you.

That a hero lies in you.” :p

I highly admire Your “inner-stability and peace and balance”

“warm yourself near the fire in the winter. Do not stay too near the fire or you will get burned, or too far from the fire, for you will suffer from the cold.

Likewise, in your situation, what you can do is keep a safe distance from them and have forbearance. In the meantime, stick to your working discipline with regards to time, honesty towards money matters, together with any other rules, especially when you have to coordinate with them. This way you are not too far or not too near the fire. Don’t burn yourself.

Then be observant as to the source of the selfishness in such people as well as spreading loving kindness to them and trying to find ways to suggest to them step by step:

1st Step- For those who cannot handle money properly, we can educate them with financial management data.

2nd Step- For those who had the unfortunate childhood conditions it will take time for them to adjust to the new surroundings filled with the Right Way. For the time being, extend benevolence to them often and think in your mind that you are tending to your own children.

3rd Step- In the worst cases where they are very defiant, they should be guided to spiritual edification from the monks. If they still do not progress accordingly, then the final resort is to let them wait to undergo the corrective process of the nether world in the afterlife.

However, you must accept the truth that the faultiness of the mundane is incapable of being completely eliminated except for those who have attained Arahantship or at least the high state of absorption (Jhana).”

    Someone’s case study :p

    1) The past deed that makes your husband to be a politician in provincial level is generosity offering (dhana). In many past lives, your husband offered generosity (dhana) himself and pursued other people to offer generosity upon his capabilities. Once the merits surface, he then is elected to be mayor.
Buddhism activity arrangement entire year provides consequent wholesomeness as follows. When he receives treasures, he will receive continuously for entire year. He will have lots of retinues, will be loved by large number of people and will be in a leader position again in his next life.

    2) Your father is wealthy and a property magnate because, in the past life, he donated plots for public use and also liked to help poor people by allowing them to make living on his plots like he does in this present life.
It is not his retribution that most of his relatives do not repay money that they borrowed from him but it is his disposition of being generous to relatives which has been like this for many lives.

    3) The reason that your father allows plot owners who sold their plots to your father to continue farming on the plots for free is because of his generous disposition for many past lives. In one of his past lives, he was a city ruler who governed the city with ten virtues of a monarch and took good care of poor people by giving away lands for farming.

    4) Your parents were husband and wife in the past live that your father was a city ruler. In that life, your mother was his principal consort while your father had many concubines so his disposition follows him in this life. In that past life, your mother was able to accept it as it was tradition and it was acceptable at the time. Because of these, she therefore can accept again in this life.

The reason that your father has your mother as a good wife is because they had accrued merits together but your mother has flirtatious husband because of remnants of her adultery kamma in the farther past life. She used to be a flirtatious man. The pictures of your father you see in this life were pictures of your mother in the past.

    5) After passing away, your great grandmother becomes a beautiful angel having golden heavenly mansion in the second level of heaven [Tavatimsa] phase 2 from merits she had accrued in Buddhism. She is very happy and had received all merits you had dedicated to her. She passed thank-you message and rejoiced merits you had dedicated to her.

    6) You were born with comfort in living, traveling and at work all the way through because of your past merits that you offered generosity (dhana), observed precepts (sila) and meditated (bhavana) with Dhammakaya community persistently.

However, you lost your wallets 10 times and also your house was robbed 2 times because, in a past life, you were born as a young girl of good behaviour and you liked to take money from your parents’ or your siblings’ wallets without their permission for snacks and had fun when you were teenager.

    7) You had to abort 1 time because a doctor said that the baby would definitely die and if you left it there, you would die as well.
The abortion did not lead you any retribution because the unborn baby has kamma from killing pregnant animals so he has to die in a womb. He died before you aborted.

You should regularly free pregnant animals; i.e. pregnant cows, pregnant fishes, etc. Your abortion retribution will be lessened.

    8) Your aborted baby had been reborn in other humans’ womb many times but the retribution has not been repaid yet. The merits you have dedicated for him will help him to be born to the world sooner.

Your past deed that make you abort is that, in the past life, you liked to eat eggs; i.e. crab’s, fishes’, etc. very much. Sometimes you asked others to find pregnant fishes and pregnant crabs to cook for you so you have abortion retribution and other retributions as well.

    9) The retribution that made you have seafood allergy which leads to rheumatoid and thus you have body aches, could not open your moth and had to wrap with elastic bandage like “Mummy” is that in the previous life, you liked to eat crabs very much so you always caught crabs and tied their body and legs together and then keep them to kill for food later.

    10) The reasons why you sleep lightly, wake up easily and once you are awake, it is hard for you to fall back to sleep are in one of your previous lives, you liked to hold entertaining parties at night and often disturbed neighbors. This made your neighbors not to sleep so you have these same symptoms.
You should make merits by offering bedding to Buddhist monks, novices and poor people and your symptoms should get better.

Since we have met each other in this life, therefore you must try to pursue perfection in all merits with fullest efforts and make a wish to follow the Dhammakaya community to the fourth level of heaven (Tusita), in the special merit zone – bodhisattva as well as do not be apart from each other again.”

    Another one’s ? :p

    1. You had leg pains and no energy, such that you could not walk. You were unable to cure this problem until I went to the spiritualist doctor? This is because of your past demerit when you were born into an agricultural society. You bound up animals and sold them to people who killed them. The spiritualist doctor used the betel leaves and produced a bad-smelling liquid with blood and pus that stuck to the leaves. This was not something that came from your own body.

But the sorcerer put this liquid on the leaves to make it look supernatural and make you feel confident about his methods so that you would feel connected with this black magic. Even the spiritualist doctor did not see what the sorcerer did. He only chanted incantations. But the sorcerer performed the actions.

    2. You had a very rapid heartbeat and your heart quivered. You could not breathe quickly enough to supply your heart with oxygen. You felt your throat was constricted and could not breathe. You needed to have fingers stuck down your throat daily and vomited phlegm and blood for 3 months.
This is because of your demerit from a past life when you used old animals for labor; for example, old oxen and water buffalo. They were very tired and showed symptoms similar to yours in your present life.

    3. Presently you still have the constricted feeling in your throat sometimes, as though something is stuck in your throat and there is a bone jammed in your throat. This is due to your past demerit when you played roughly with puppies and kittens. When you became angry, you squeezed their throats until they could not breathe.

You can cure this condition but you must accumulate a great deal of merit so that you can find a good doctor to treat you.

Your thyroid problem could return if you rest too little or feel very stressed. So you must make your mind clear using meditation and by resting adequately.

    4. You were placed in a cavity, wrapped up like a corpse, rubbed with betel paste, and rubbed with pineapple leaves until you felt a stinging itch all over your body. This occurred even though there were not any insects when the masseuse prepared the cavity. This is because in your past you respected black magic. This led you to black magic again in your present life and caused you to be treated by the masseuse in this manner.

You felt a stinging itchiness as though insects were biting you. This is because of the insects that were in the soil at the time. There was nothing special about this. This situation is due to your past demerit from respecting black magic.

    5. You and the masseuse had a gay relationship because she had abnormal gender psychology. There was no the 3rd sorcerer in her. This is combined with your past demerit from having extramarital affairs. So you came back to this type of circumstance.

The masseuse’s husband was very jealous about her. You violated the precept forbidding adultery because she was married.

    6. Presently you do not have any sorcerers with you. You only have the feeling that you are still connected with the massage profession.!
But you are able to massage people all day, even though you are small and have tiny hands. This is because you have a strong belief in this profession.

The masseuse told you that she had changed the patterns on your palms in order that massage would become your belief, to make you feel confident. If we are attached to something, we make it overly important. If we are not attached, it stops having substance.

    7. The man with whom you had sexual relations did not know black magic and did not cause you or the masseuse to be possessed. She spoke this way to because she was feeling possessive about you. And she was strongly attached to the practice of black magic. She was half-crazy about it. This combined with your past demerit from committing adultery. These caused you to meet that man and the masseuse.

You should stay far away from her and that man so you can end your demerit.

    8. The masseuse, you, and the man with whom you had sexual relations have a connection from the past. You have demerit from extramarital sexual relations concerning both of them. All 3 of you took turns have affairs with others when you were married in the past.

You should end your involvement with these matters so that you can end the cycle of demerit. You can turn to making merit, keeping the precepts, and meditating as better pursuits. This is so you can close the path to hell and go to heaven.

    9. When your younger brother drove the car to the masseuse’s house, he said “Why are you calling for my mind?” This is because he was half-crazy like you because of your belief in black magic. But in truth there was nothing to this belief.

Tell your younger brother to stop believing in this type of thing. He should turn to making merit, keeping the precepts, and meditating often as better pursuits. Merit will arise in him. He will be able to close the path to hell and go to heaven.

    10. You became a masseuse because of your past connection with black magic. You also accepted the teachers so you could be a masseuse. So this set of beliefs followed you into you present life and pulled you into this career again.

You wish that in your future lives you will not have to be a masseuse. This wish must arise from your boredom and the lessening of your association with this career. And you must accumulate enough of all forms of merit. This will make your wish come true.

Paying respect to your teachers is a good moral quality that shows gratitude. It is something you should do. But it must be combined with wisdom, meaning that you should not only respect something because it has supernatural powers. Such respect for a teacher is composed of delusion because if you believe in the supernatural, it will make you fall into the cycle of these kinds of convictions. When you depart from this world, you will be able to become a sorcerer.

So you should pay respect to your teacher with wisdom, unadulterated with the delusion just mentioned. This will allow you to escape from the cycle. And you will also be able to use your knowledge to relieve people of suffering in a pure manner, following the fundamental principles of massage.

    11. You took a long time before you came to the temple, although your kalayanamitra and the relative of your husband’s grandmother invited you here for more than 10 years. This is because you were separated from the Dhammakaya community for many epochs. When the merit you made in the past with the community found a path to realization, it made you find the kalayanamitra and the relatives that so persistently invited you.

You obtained satisfactory results from your Buddhist practice in past lives. But you did not practice with much sincerity. So in this life you must practice sincerely.

In this life you must keep the 8 precepts with concentration and make all forms of merit to the fullest degree. Your wish to be a man and to ordain will come true in your future lives.

Your three children made merit with the community in the past sometimes. Sometimes they made merit, sometimes they did not. They did not make merit continuously like you did when you were a supporter.

Your 2 sons have enough merit to ordain for a short period.

If they are to ordain for a long period, they must use their willpower.

In this life we meet again and diligently make all forms of merit to the fullest degree. Make the resolution that when you pass away we will all go to Tusita (the fourth level of heaven) together. Let us not miss each other.”

Bubbles emerging from our center continuously? :p :p :p

” ENERGY FLOWS WHERE ATTENTION GOES. ”
This vital guideline should be kept in our minds always!Yes ALWAYS.

Buddhist monks meditate using sound vibrations.SOUND VIBRATIONAL Meditation and healing is a vital energy which is tremendously POWERFUL.Sound vibrations create the energy waves in the brain and in the environment. It is the sound vibrations which the buddhist monks use for meditation which create these powerful gamma brain waves!

Why do you think Indians have MANTRA CHANTS and OM and all the beej mantras?Because evidently they knew the power and interrelation and co-relation of creation and sound in the universe. The Indians of America and all indigenous tribes use SOUND CHANTS for meditation,PRAYERS,and ceremonies.

One more point - all people are connected - so the Indians of India, the buddhist monks around the world, the Indians of America,The Aborigines and all indigenous tribes are all connected. This is how the TRUTH prevails. If only one group of people knew the truth - it would not be the TRUTH but rather just a belief shared by a certain group of people.

Back to ATTENTION.For this simple reason : ‘ Energy flows where attention goes ‘ , it is important to be gathered and focused at all times rather than be scattered in space. Then when our energy is scattered in space we cannot create any one thing or situation effectively and that is when we say ‘ oh this did not happen and that did not happen - I wanted this - I wished for this and God did not answer my prayers. Etc. ‘ - SIMPLE SOLUTION is to gather oneself,to focus and direct one’s energies effectively in the process of creating and manifesting one’s desires.

Multitasking is just a form of being scattered. You get to choose what you want.It certainly ain’t smart to do different things at the same time. You may choose to bully yurself or to be bullied by others around you in making choices which will yield negative effects. You also get to choose to make healthy and positive choices which are successful and fruitful.

”One who has a daily spiritual practice is one who goes beyond the mind and experiences life beyond material things or limitations.” : Yogi Cameron

And this going beyond the mind and experiencing life beyond material things or limitations is when we see the beauty of the vital energy flow of life around us - whether we have tons of make up on our face and have to stand infront of a camera or walk the catwalks of the fashion industry or similar situations or just go to shop something,or do a natural action of gardening, etc, - it is feeling the vital energy flow of life through oneself and seeing and feeling it around one - and being in BALANCE with all energies and one’s environment. What’s inside you will radiate outside of you as well. This is busting the limitations of the mind and letting the creative energy in one flow and stream out freely from one.BUSTING THE LIMITATIONS OF THE MIND will make your creative energy flow freely and this is when we experience life beyond material things or limitations.
