Vitamins are not what they seem.

Many of my client who take supplements stop for a length of time when we start to work together and they experience a lightness when they have stopped consuming these pills. It is such a topic of debate but there are a few points to remember.

These are not vitamins from a natural source like fruit and vegetables. They are artificially generated or freeze dried dehydrated products that have little to no nutritional value.

The other main issue is that vitamins need other vitamins and herbs to act like a catalyst so the body can absorb them otherwise they go in and straight out.

One last problem is that now the body has extra excessive materials inside that it has to work hard and spend energy to get rid of.

The article below might be of use to read.

    The Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong Centennial Memorial Building.. the world’s Global Peace Generator.

    Join in the Inauguration of what is to become..
    the world’s Global Peace Generator.

    No matter how technologically advanced the world has become, people will always need a knowledge that can help them douse misery, develop inner peace, and discover true happiness.

    On the occasion of the 100th birthday anniversary of the late Meditation Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong, Abbot Dhammajayo Bhikkhu initiated a project to build a new Pali and Buddhist school of studies to replace its original one being worn out through decades of use.

    The Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong 100th Anniversary Memorial Building will house Thailand’s largest Pali and Dhamma school of studies. Studying Pali is essential for monks as the Lord Buddha’s original teachings are kept in this ancient language.

    It is also designed to be the coordinating center for the Dhammakaya Temple’s overseas dissemination work that has brought the Lord Buddha’s time-tested knowledge of inner peace and happiness to people in more than 100 countries spanning as far as Qatar, Uganda, Solomon Islands, Mongolia, and even in former Buddhist lands such as Bahrain, Dubai, Indonesia and Jordan.

    Today, the temple has more than 50 overseas meditation centers, each providing free meditation lessons for interested members of the general public. As the scope for dissemination work widens, there is a need to train and retrain monks to be qualified teachers to property coach new generations of monks and lay staff to be responsible and respectable role models for virtuous leaders in both word and, more importantly, action.

    The World Center for Dhamma Studies
    and Practice.

    The 15-storey building will be a place where people of all colors and races and various nationalities work together for world peace; similar to a United Nations of Buddhism. It will become a venue where Buddhist academics and expert practitioners from all over the world meet, discuss, exchange ideas as well as cooperate on educational and global peace programs.

    At present, the temple’s 40-year-old Dhammachai Institute has cooperation agreements with Peking University (China), Sydney University (Australia), Otago University (New Zealand), Hsuan Chuang University (Taiwan) and Tokyo University (Japan).

    The Temple’s Pali and Dhamma school of studies has been consistently ranked among the top five of all other schools in Thailand in the annual centralized Pali examinations. Besides teaching its resident monks and novices, it provides classroom lessons for those from other temples and interested lay people free of charge.

    The growing number of students necessitates a move from thatch-roofed and rough-cement structures to a concretely built school with well-equipped classrooms and language laboratories.

    The Functional Symbol of Giving
    and Universal Love.

    With well over 2,000 monks and lay staff members working everyday towards the goal of creating lasting world peace through inner peace, the globe-shaped architecture will serve as a declaration of universal love for humankind.

    The building is named after the late Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong or Khun Yay (Grandma) as she was—and still is—affectionately called by her disciples. At the age of 60, when most people look forward to a peaceful retirement, Khun Yay chose the a difficult path of founding a new temple despite its lack of funds and misunderstandings.

    World Peace Needs Your Helping Hand.
    Let’s Make It Happen.

    The merit resulting from sponsoring the construction of this Peace Generator will attract virtuous people, favorable opportunities and auspicious events to the donor’s life–not just in the present lifetime but in many future lifetimes to come.

    The donor will share in the merit of all the teachers and students who teach and apply the wisdom of the Lord Buddha for the happiness of the masses; thereby, forming good karmic ties with virtuous people worldwide. As time goes by, this merit will multiply by having its Virtue Leaders passing down the torch to the future generations to ensure the continuation of the Global Peace Work.

    Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong
    The Founder of Dhammakaya Temple

    In August 2009, the Dhammakaya Temple organized mass ordination and meditation training with over 12,000 Thai men from of 76 provinces in Thailand. Through the kind cooperation from more than 100 Buddhist temples, it was the world’s largest mass ordination program since the passing of the Lord Buddha 2,500 years ago.

    The Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong Centennial Memorial Building will house:

    • A school for Pali and Buddhist studies (45 classrooms, including 3 language laboratories);
    • Two meditation rooms for 800 people;
    • An international Buddhist research library with access to electronic versions of Buddhist scriptures (Tritipitaka);
    • A multimedia exhibition hall;
    • A 2,000-seat auditorium for local and international symposiums;
    • A museum displaying rare Buddhist scriptures and artifacts from many countries;

    • The coordinating office for all of the Dhammakaya overseas meditation centers and international peace programs;
    • The coordinating office for the monks’ training programs;
    • The Dhammakaya Open University for long-distance degree programs;
    • The Dhammakaya Foundation for various international and local charitable activities;
    • The Dhammachai Institute for academic research, exchanges and staff training;

    • The Peace Revolution 2010 project for global peace communities;
    • Dhamma radio stations;
    • Production and recording studios where Dhamma programs, including live meditation lessons, are produced for global, commercial-free broadcast everyday on the DMC satellite Channel.
    • A multimedia production center where Dhamma websites, CDs, magazines, books and academic materials are produced.

    The Form of Function The shape of this building emphasizes the truth that anyone can become like the sun, in that one has light within and at the same time shares their light with all living beings without discrimination. The overflowing self-sustainable happiness resulting from meditation will inspire its practitioners to share happiness with other people even beyond their immediate circles.

    Donations can be made at the Dhammakaya Temple in Thailand or its overseas meditation centers worldwide.

    A special ceremony will be held on the temple’s annual
    Kathina-robes offering day,
    which this year falls upon Sunday, the 1st of November.

    I know this Cameron….I’m quite tired right now.I don’t know it so exactly medically like you do but I know that all that is artificial,unnatural substances from the outside which are useless to the body.That is also addictive behaviour.Telling or suggesting to one’s mind that one must take pills as supplement nutrition for the body.
    Anyhow Cameron,my writing something or nothing has no value…neither for you nor for myself as it does not profit me.My situation does not change through it.I want profit and results Cameron!
    Therefore I had to plea to myself once more today telling myself that it is about the person.Be happy for this atleast and shut up.
    Just be open and ALLOW.
    Vitamins are only found in natural food sources.Not in artificial ones.Is that clear?capito…capish…blah blah blah
    It is cruel to keep a goldfish in a bowl just to let it live on borrowed time and to watch it die.capish?
    It is cruel to buy (small little yellow) chicks or any kind of chicks just for fun and to practically watch them die too.
    I was thinking of those things a while back & understood that what really higher awareness is about.
    I want the toad to forgive me.Both the pussycats should forgive me too.They all have to forgive me.

    So I’m tired sweet heart Cameron and I’ll go to bed now.Good night darling.Put your head on my chest my sweet heart Cameron and listen to the beat of my heart.Pulse with me sexey!NightyNite darling….hugs & kisses

    “Have I ever felt disheartened? No, never. I continue to persuade them to make merit every time I meet them.

    Some of my relatives used to be like that, but some of them are different now. When they began to have the right understanding, they blamed me for failing to make them understand the importance of merit 10 or 20 years ago so they had missed a lot of chance to make big merit.

    The idea is to get them into the habit of giving, starting from small sacrifices that they find easy to make to bigger sacrifices that require effort.

    After that, you may invite them to make the kind of big merit that requires just a small investment, i.e. meditation [no money needed, only time]. Meditation is a neutral thing.

    The act of giving can be intensified this way.

    Lord Buddha taught us ten steps towards personal progress in making merit.

    First, to live together in peace, people have to share resources. Sharing is a great thing. I won’t talk about the varying degrees of such merit making now. Let’s just say we need to give and share with people who belong to the same religion and those who don’t. This is a must for creating a happy world.

    Second, in every society there are weak and strong people, the young and the elderly, healthy people and those with physical disabilities. For any society to live peacefully, its people have to be nice to one another and give help to those in need.

    Third, to maintain a peaceful society, people have to respect each other by not finding faults in each other.

    Forth, for a society to be peaceful, people in that society must realize that every human being lives under the law of karma, that wholesome thoughts, speeches or actions produce good consequences while bad thoughts, speeches or actions lead to the opposite.

    Lord Buddha also explained in detail how to do good through thought, speech and action. Even if you are alone, you can do good by having wholesome thoughts.

    Fifth, all human beings carry with them since birth a storage of good and bad karma. That storage decides what happens to us in the present life. But it doesn’t mean we cannot do anything to improve our situation. Our fate is also determined by what we do in the present life–yesterday, today, and tomorrow. What happens to us is partly the results of our karma from the previous lifetime and partly the results of our karma in the present lifetime.

    Sixth, Those who gave a lot in earlier lifetimes find it easy to succeed in the present lifetimes. Whereas, those who rarely gave in their past lifetimes and therefore had less wealth-attracting karma find it more difficult to earn a good living. Those in the latter group have to work harder to improve their situation. The understanding of this issue is another step toward psychological progress.

    Seventh, for a society to live peacefully, its people have to understand that life does not end at the point of death. Where do people go after they’ve died? Well, they go where they like to go. If they like doing good, they are likely to go to Heaven. If they like doing bad, they go to Hell.

    Once people understand this truth about life, they have made another step toward psychological progress. The quality of their minds have improved, and they acknowledge a debt of gratitude toward their parents.

    Heaven and Hell do exist. They do not belong to one particular religion. Buddhists, Christians, Muslims do not have separate sets of Heaven and Hell. If they go to Heaven, they go to the same Heaven. If they go to Hell, they go to the same Hell. This is as true as the fact that Buddhists, Christians and Muslims do see the same moon and the same sun in the sky.

    Once people understand this, they will realize that merit making is a must for everyone, and they will look beyond the boundaries of faith.

    Daughter, now you see psychological progress can only be made gradually, step by step. You have to improve your conduct and set an example for your friends and relatives. Once they have faith in you and are impressed with your moral progress, they will follow your lead and make merit in Buddhism. It’s one step at a time. Go back and restart. You can do it if you try.”

    “Happily indeed do we live-
    We that call nothing our own.
    Feeders on joy shall we be
    Even as the Abhassara gods.

    No fire is there like lust,
    No crime like hatred,
    No ill like the Five Aggregates,
    No higher bliss than Nibbana’s peace.

    Of all diseases hunger is the greatest,
    Of all pains the comp[ounded things,
    Knowing this (the wise realize Nibbana)
    Which is the bliss supreme.

    Health is the highest gain,
    Contentment is the greatest wealth,
    Trustful are the best kinsmen,
    Nibbana is the highest bliss.

    Having tasted the flavour of
    Seclusion and Nibbana’s peace,
    Woeless and stainless becomes he,
    Drinking the taste of the Dharma’s joy.

    Good is it to see the Noble Ones,
    To dwell with them is happiness,
    By not seeing foolish men,
    One may ever be happy.

    Frequenting the company of fools
    One surely grieves for long;
    For association with fools is ever ill
    Just as ever that of foes.
    But to dwell with the wise is happiness
    Just as relatives together met.

    Therefore-
    Him the intelligent, the wise, the learned,
    The devout, the dutiful and the Noble One-
    Such a wise and intelligent man
    Should one ever follow
    As the moon follows the track of stars.” :P

    “The Lord Buddha replied the young Supha that men who harm all beings with various efforts in the past life, they will be infirm and sickly. The way leading men to be strong and healthy is no harm to all beings.

    The way leading men to be born ugly is to be ill-tempered and easily upset even with a small cause.

    The way leading men to be beautiful wherever they are reborn is to do the opposite.

    The way that leads men to be rich and wealthy is to be a plenary donator such as foods, drink, clothes, sandals, garlands, scents, ointments, beds, dwellings and lighting to priests or/and folks.

    The way of being poor is to do the opposite.

    Moreover, those who pay homage to the person who deserves homage will be highborn.

    The way to be lowborn is to do the opposite. Those who frequently visited priests or sages, asking questions like: “Venerable Sir, What is skillful? What is unskillful? What is blameworthy? What is blameless? What should be cultivated? What should not be cultivated? What action will be for my long-term harm and suffering? Or what action will be for my long-term welfare and happiness?” will be smart and intelligent.

    The way leading men to be stupid and dumb is to do the opposite.

    At the end of the sermon, the young Supha said to the Blessed one: “Magnificent Sir, your speech is clear as if placing upright what was overturned, revealing what was hidden, showing the way to the lost, carrying the lamp in the dark for those who have good sight to see.” Therefore, he took the Lord Buddha, the Dhamma and all the Monks as his refuge.”

    “Fruits of offering Sangha food and neccesities from over 30,000 temples

    Fruits from Offering Food - Will be blessed with longevity, physical beauty, happiness, strength and wisdom.

    Fruits From Offering Robe – Will be blessed with glow, aura, super natural power, fine skin, delicate touch. Once in heaven, the body will always be miraculously adorned with celestial attire made of the finest fabric. When being born at the time Lord Buddha comes into existence, and having a chance to be ordained by the Lord Buddha himself (Ehipikku Upasampada), the body will be miraculously adorned with the finest robe.

    Fruits From Offering Medicine - Will be blessed with longevity, health, physical strength, power, high social status, love, intellect, happiness, freedom from danger and unpleasant incidents, abundance of wealth (for it will not be consumed by health issues).

    Fruits From Financial Donation – will be blessed with wealth and the freedom to grant every wish. Will know no poverty and most importantly will use the wealth to forever support Buddhism.

    Fruits From Offering bag- Will be blessed with safety of one’s wealth because bag is considered a safe keeping place of treasure. Wealth will be safely guarded from all dangers.

    ………………………………….

    The End of the Tradition of Casting Personal Buddha Statues & the completion and closing of Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya.

    This highly sacred tradition of casting Buddha statue will come to an end this year as the last set of 30,000 statues are scheduled to be cast on April 22nd, 2009. This occasion will also mark the completion of Maha Damakaya Cetiya (Pagoda) which will be closed as soon as the last statue is enshrined inside.

    On April 22nd, 2009, this will be an occasion for all Buddhists to be united, to pay homage to the Lord Buddha through making contribution to the casting of Buddha Statues which will be revered and paid homage by both humans and celestials. These Buddha statues symbolize the purest of all the virtues (goodness) which will help extending the boundlessness of happiness to the mass of the people. The personal Buddha statues and the Cetiya will be in existence as the center of Buddhism for thousands of years. The merit of paying homage to one Buddha statue is immeasurable; imagine the merit that one will earn when paying homage to the Maha Dhammakaya Cetiya enshrined with 1,000,000 Buddha statues. The Cetiya will be the center for Buddhists all over the world to come to pay homage. Being a part of casting personal Buddha statues adorned and enshrined on and inside this sacred Cetiya will result in great merit that will forever continue until the time the ultimate path of Dharma is reached.

    Think of the impact the sight of Cetiya will have on people. Think of how many people will feel motivated to have a clear mind and reach inner peace and eventually reach high Dharma when they pay homage to 1,000,000 statues. The number will be countless and so will be the merit. The fruition of merit will be transcended to those who helped adorn this sacred place to have a long and plentiful celestial life (plentiful in celestial wealth) and so in their reincarnations thereafter. This merit will be with them until the ultimate path of dharma and Nirvana is reached.

    Please join us in casting personal Buddha statues with your name or your loved one’s name engraved at the base of the statue and enjoy the merit of being a part of introducing this body of enlightenment of Lord Buddha to the world. This body of enlightenment when visualized as a virtuous symbol, placed at the center of the body when meditating, will be the gateway of reaching inner peace and eventually the body of enlightenment or Dhammakaya.

    Merit from Casting Personal Buddha Statues

    The merit from casting Buddha statues is immersurance and can be summarized into the following 3 major elements:

    Physical Beauty (good appearance) - One will be born with good appearance, fine skin and all other attractive qualities, along with longevity and freedom from all disease and sickness.

    Wealth- one will be born in high places with wealth and prosperity.

    Any business one touches will turn to gold.

    One will be blessed with an abundance of wealth and will become a generous wealthy person who helps support Buddhism.

    Good quality (Intelligence & Wisdom) - One will be born with sharp wit and intelligence. One will be a fast learner and will be able to reach inner peace in a short period of time. Will have wisdom in both worldly and Dharma affairs.”

    “Of the person addicted to heedless living
    Craving grows like a creeping.
    Such a man jumps from life to life
    Like a monkey craving fruit in the wilds.

    But whoso in the world overcomes
    This base craving, difficult to overcome-
    His sorrow falls away from him
    As water drops from a lotus leaf.

    This I say unto you:
    Good luck to you all who have assembled here.
    As one roots out fragrant Virana grass,
    So do you dig up craving by its root.
    Let not Mara crush you again and again
    As the river flood crushing a reed.

    Let go the past, let go the future too,
    Let go the present and go beyond becoming.
    With mind released from everything,
    To birth-and-decay you shall come no more.

    He who delights in subduing thoughts,
    He who meditates on impurities of things,
    He who is ever full of mindfulness-
    It is he who will make an end of suffering
    And destroy the Mara’s bond.

    He has reached the final goal,
    He is fearless, without lust, without passions.
    He has broken the shafts of existence.
    Of such an arahant this body is his last.

    Free from craving and grasping,
    Well-versed in analytical knowledge,
    Knowing the texual orders and their sequence,
    He of his last body is, indeed, called
    One of great wisdom and a great man.

    All have I overcome,
    All do I know,
    From all am I detached,
    All have I removed,
    Thorougly freed am I
    Through the destruction of craving,
    Having realized all by myself,
    Whom shall I call my teacher?

    All gifts the gift of Truth excels.
    All tastes the taste of Truth excels.
    All delights the delight in Truth excels.
    All sorrows the end of craving excels.

    Riches ruin the fool
    But not those seeking Nibbana.
    Craving for wealth, the foolish man
    Ruins himself by destroying others.

    When banishing carelessness by carefulness,
    The sorrowless, wise one ascends the terrace of wisdom
    And surveys the ignorant, sorrowing folk
    As one standing on a mountain the groundlings.

    By vigilance it was that
    Indra attained the lordship of the gods.
    Earnestness is ever praised,
    Carelessness is ever despised.”

    The following is a good page to look into.I came accross this page today as I was looking up something about Mars.Tuesdays as the day of the planet Mars.VEDIC ASTROLOGY.So chanting the mars mantra is beneficial.

    Darling Cameron,I tried once again reading the New York Times article & once again wound up reading only a few lines of it.
    My reading pattern has changed dramatically.I am only able to read positve articles.Writings that are interesting to me due to postive reasons….like you write practical hands down knowlegdeable stuff that even if one wishes to have a discussion on it,it is possible because it makes sense in every way and one would find oneself saying a lot of valuable and healthy things.Unlike those negative news articles there that only speak every second word of sickness and deficit and lack and disease and negativity….

    You get the picture.

    I had to throw in my handful of colour in here now.I’ll be back later.Got to remove my bread from the oven.It’s done.delicious!

    “When the appropriate time arises for the good results to bear fruit, we will become joyous in the end.

    It is good and just that time is allowed for the fruit of any deeds to fully ripen before they are manifested. ”

    Case study :P

    “To make merit with money will result in being wealthy directly. As for making merit with physical strength the merit will make the doer become very strong like Upasika Visakha!

    7. The speculation in stock exchange (currencies) and commodities (gold and oil) or others in the Zero-Sum Game i.e. there will be some people who make profit and others who are out of pocket for the same amount of money.

    It is to get the money from the ones who misjudged the market to give it to the ones that had right estimation. This type of trade is not classified as a wrong vocation directly, except when there is a special manipulation to push the price up without any reason or unusually!

    At the moment you have shares and they are from Positive-Sum Game; i.e. if the business is doing well, the share value will increase, the share holders will make profit, it’s fine because it is the reflection of the business value, except if there is a manipulation to increase the share value beyond the real mark.

    8.For those who teach religions and mislead people that merit, demerit, hell and heaven are only strategies created to support the society for instance.

    If their teachings resulted from misunderstanding the brief retribution is they will have a hard time practicing meditation and will take time to attain the truth because their understanding about the truth is deviated.

    As they are only thinkers and use their rational to assume, the highest level of heaven they can go is the Catummaharajika (1st level of heaven) in the lineage of sorcerer.

    Then they will continue thinking merrily on a daily basis.

    But if they have intention to distort the teaching, the brief retribution is that they will go to unhappy realm because of the clouded mind; i.e. Major hell, Ussada Hell, purgatory. They will become hungry ghost, hideous ghost that have distorted bodies, will be disabled and in agony for instance!

    When they were reborn as human they will be mad, dumb, deaf, blind with a disabled body and will be distant from Buddhism!

    You were off the right track and became agnostic for sometime because in the past life you associated with agnostics for certain period of time that made this habit followed you!

    To rectify, you should keep away from those people and associate with pundits and wise people and be diligent in accruing every merit and resolve that you never go back to that again!

    9. As a writer you had to fight with injustice i.e. those who intentionally attacked Buddhism and the Dhammakaya community including those who tried to incite chaos in the society and you had to retaliate fools ferociously.

    The result of your action depends on your intention and the terms you used. If you have good intention and your writing was not sarcastic then it was the same technique that the Buddha used to counter those with wrong view, if it is so then there is no retribution!

    10. In the last Buddha’s era you were a supporter of the Dhammakaya community that sometimes made merit according to your mood, you changed you mind frequently and sometimes you made it intensively.

    Therefore your life is up and down like the shares value that you are holding!
    You have a certain level of merit that allows you to help the nation and protect Buddhism!

    11. In the last Buddha’s era you have heard about pursuance of perfection for 2 rounds but there is no 3rd, 4th or 5th rounds because it is not easy as you think even though our community wishes to do that because Mara is Mara and it is not that easy.

    Since you’ve met the Dhammakaya community in this life, be determined to pursue perfection intensively in every merit and resolve to follow the community to Tusita (the Fourth level of heaven), the special merit zone, the Borom Bodhisatta area and never stray away from our community!”

    “In six ways the monks, thus served as the upper quarter, show their love for him:
    a) They keep him back from evil.
    b) They encourage him to do good.
    c) They feel for him with kindly thoughts.
    d) They teach him what he has not heard before.
    e) They correct and clarity what he has learnt.
    f) They show him the way to heaven.”

    Paramahamsa Nithyananda says ” You Create Your Own Karma: Emotional reactions vs. intelligent responses
    Two types of action Karma means action. But action can be of two types. It can either be a reaction or it can be a response. When somebody insults you and you become angry, he has made you behave the way he wanted. Now if he apologizes, your mood suddenly changes. So h…e is the master. You are behaving like a slave. You are a victim having no control over the situation. When somebody insults you, you are immediately reacting out of your past experiences. This reaction is karma. It is a binding force. It creates chains for you. Respond don’t react But a response is totally different from reaction. When someone insults you, you don’t need to give in to the emotion of anger rising inside you. You can listen to ”

    Cameron hun I adore you.Hugs&kisses

    Vasistha says:

    ”WELCOME O WANDERER WHO HAS NOT FOUND THE RIGHT PATH.DO NOT FEAR.YOU HAVE INDEED REACHED THE DOOR TO EMANCIPATION. ”

    “Welcome O wanderer who has not found the right path. Do not fear. You have indeed reached the door to emancipation.”

    ”CREATION IS WHAT ONE SEES AND IS AWARE OF,AND THIS IS WITHIN ONESELF. ” Vasistha

    “Creation is what one sees and is aware of, and this is within oneself.” Vasistha

    This scripture (the Yoga Vasistha) dispels delusion and enables you to realize that (when one rests inwardly in the infinite consciousness) ordinary life itself is the supreme state.
