Ayurvedic Medicine
Ayurveda being the oldest and most tested
natural medicine in use today defines disease as coming from
4 sources;
The mind - All that we think about affects
the body positively or negatively.
The outer environment - Weather or pollution
(sound or air)
Our habits and actions - What we eat, drink,
time of sleep, time of eating, sex etc.
Karmic health - There are times when karmically
we will experience disease, which no treatment can cure.
2 parts of the anatomy where disease has its roots.
The stomach - This needs protecting as its
function is to digest, distribute and to burn toxins. A healthy
stomach leads to a healthy body. What we put into the digestive
system determines our mental and eventually our physical health.
The brain - All that comes from the mind
ends up in the body. Positive thoughts and habits lead to
health, wellness and happiness.
A healthy body is more Alkaline rather than acidic, which
helps to cool and calm the entire system.
Too much acid has a burning and heating affect on the system.
Too much acid will heat the blood and have a negative effect
on the mind.
The entire system of the universe runs on the principle of
hot and cold, male and female, sun and moon.
Our system functions on the principal of hot and cold, reacting
to foods, environment and thoughts, which are continuously
entering our being. This balance should be kept in our habits
of eating, thinking and all our actions. This leads to peace
and happiness when kept in balance.
Ayurvedic Medicine is very different from modern medicine
where a person is treated by the intake of chemical pills.
Modern medicine should be a last resort and not a quick fix
for health issues.
Modern chemical pills bring on many side effects which is
the bodies manner of saying it does not like the affect these
pills has on it.
Modern medicine treats symptoms and not the root cause of
disease.
Modern medicine is limited to what science and the naked
eye can see.
Modern medicine depends on machines for test results. Machines
cannot ‘feel’ a patient’s energy.
Surgery is very useful but not always necessary to achieve
health.
You should know your own body better than any one else so
when there is something wrong you can know the course of treatments.
It is not positive to be at the mercy of anyone else for your
health and wellbeing.
Do not look for quick solutions but forever lasting learning,
which benefits your body and mind so you will not repeat old
negative habits, which help to bring on health issues.
